Organizing outreach to failing inner city schools, Skinner realized that thousands of children faced hunger. Thus, FEED 3 was born to address the needs of Feeding the Body with nutritional foods, Feeding the Mind with character programs to improve test scores, and Feeding the Soul with church/business partnerships to help schools succeed. He is also the co-founder of the Dallas Hunger Summit and Coalition with over one hundred organizations involved to fight hunger. His pro-business approach is being utilized in cities across Texas. Leading one of the largest faith-based movements in Dallas History, Randy H. Skinner was asked by then Mayor Tom Leppert to represent him to help tackle homelessness. The collaborative effort by the City of Dallas, Dallas Housing Authority, and Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance and undergirded by the faith community help relocate 1800 homeless citizens into supportive housing. This effort mobilized the faith community to serve those individuals as new residents of local neighborhoods by mentoring, bible studies, and working with support services on site, neighborhood landscaping and church affiliation.
